We know that you love giving, and that you love participating in gift exchanges on Elfster. It’s a wonderful and generous way to spread some love to someone you may have never even met. That’s why we are pleased that our unique Meet and Gift exchanges continue to allow users from all over the Elfster community to connect and give to each other, as each participant is paired with the person who is also giving to them.
This summer, Elfster brought together people from all over the world in our first-ever Meet and Gift Exchanges, followed by awesome exchanges for fall and winter, designed to spread some Elfster cheer in a unique and thoughtful way. The first three exchanges were a huge success, with nearly 1,400 Elfster users from near and far exchanging gifts and private messages, but we are even more thrilled by how many users are connecting through these community exchanges, as the group has now doubled in size to nearly 2,800 members in a few short months.
And the elves at Elfster love being part of the gifting too, of course! Head Elf Peter Imburg shares a tale of a very generous elf who sent him a special gift that was completely unexpected. That elf took the time to check out Peter’s Bucket List wish list to find a special book about Hearst Castle in California — a place Peter would love to explore. The two had been paired in Elfster’s Postcard exchange, but this secret santa certainly went above and beyond. Thanks Barbara Hammons for being such a great elf!
And check out what a few folks are posting on the site about the fun and thoughtful gifts they received in Elfster’s recent Holiday Meet and Gift exchanges, which included Holiday Cards, Deck the Halls, and Holiday Treats:
“I cannot express how much I appreciate your thoughtfulness and detail towards my gifts. I love them all so much!!! I wish that I had thought to make it more personal for you, but I hope you enjoy your gift all the same. ❤❤❤ Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and a very happy new year!” — Lacey Swafford to her giver Yivanna Valdez
“I just got back in town, and my package was waiting for me. Thank you for all the chocolate! I was going to post a pic but the hubby and kiddos have ran off with my chocolates. Thank you again!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!” — Nikki Dernbach to her giver Stephanie Cummings
“Thank you so much for my Christmas pillow. It is beautiful and we certainly have been enjoying it this season. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and that you have a very Happy New Year.” — Lindsey Page to her giver Jilline Dodge
“Thank you so much for the box of candy bars! My children have eaten the up, LOL” — NeVeah Jones to her giver Mary Russ
“Thank you for the beautiful Angel. I love her. Thank you.” — Jill Bourne to her giver Tammy Lynn Gillam
We love all the kindness and generosity!
And with Valentine’s Day right around the corner, we thought it was a great time to bring Elfster friends together again, so we are excited to announce our next Meet and Gift Exchanges that will allow users from all over the Elfster community to celebrate the season of kindness and love by connecting and giving to each other. It’s not too late to participate and you can sign up for the exchange that interests you.
For February 2016, we are pleased to offer three “lovely” exchanges:
Valentine’s Day Card exchange
Please join the exchange if you are interested in sending and receiving a Valentine’s Day Card from another Elfster user. All cards should be mailed in time to reach their destination by February 14th. Cards may be store bought or handmade. Only open to participants 18 years and older.

Valentine’s Day Treat exchange
Valentine’s Day is a time for treats! This exchange is a great way to send and receive your favorite treat. All treats should be store bought, and sent in their original packaging. Sweet or savory–whatever you think your partner will like. Limited to participants 18 years and older, and those who have successfully completed a prior Elfster Meet and Gift Exchange. If that includes you, your invite should be sent to you via email.
Gifts from the Heart exchange
Calling all crafters! This exchange will allow you to exchange handmade gifts with another Elfster user. There is no specific spending requirement, but all participants must send a thoughtful handmade gift to their partner, and should receive one in return. Your wish list can allow you to share ideas about your style and preferences, but the gifts should all be handmade. Open to participants 18 years and older who have successfully completed a prior Elfster Meet and Gift exchange.
The deadline to join all three exchanges is February 3, with the expectation that cards and gifts will be sent prior to February 14 (Valentine’s Day). Remember, please sign up to participate only if you will be able to send your gift on or before that date. The elves at Elfster hope you’ll join us for our Valentine’s Day Meet and Gift Exchanges and share the joy of gift giving and receiving… with a little love.
