Tuesday, November 24th, 2009Mood Beams Interactive Glowing Friends
Thursday, November 13th, 2008Mood Beams are a fun collection of battery-operated characters which change light colors and intensity according to their “mood”. They react to sounds so putting them next to your stereo speaker or barking dog will create mood lighting unique to the chaos or cool sounds of your room. Pictured here is the ”Surprised” mood beam. Others in the collection include Curious, Peppy, Gloomy and more. Highly recommended for your friends that still like lava lamps!
what he wants… danger, always
Wednesday, February 6th, 2008
A memoir that is more of a guide to many lost pastime arts, like how to tan a skin or palm a coin or learn the Latin phrases that every boy should know. Or a collection of wisdom about useless skills such as how to write in invisible ink – along with useful skills, like how a boy can prepare himself for his inevitable encounters with girls.
she wants… a dare
Wednesday, February 6th, 2008
Whether it’s how to turn a perfect cartwheel or an answer to the eternal mystery of what boys are thinking (assuming they are, in fact, thinking)… This book is a manual for everything a girl needs to know.
I know, I know. It doesn’t sound daring whatsoever. The publishers did promise adventures, so maybe…
SHE WANTS… hugs

Terrible, terrible display of public affection here. Shame on them! These Hug Salt + Pepper Shakers come as one set only (one couple, not two). $19
he wants… huge
Wednesday, February 6th, 2008
Fred wants huge, manly shoulders and pecs. What did you think ‘huge’ described, huh? Lift Salt + Pepper Shakers could also work as a gentle reminder for getting back to the gym. $15
A more typical red lantern…
Tuesday, January 29th, 2008
This lantern is what you will see all over Chinatown during New Year celebrations. Not because it is the most traditional or best looking, but mostly because it is available in abundance and the best value. It also gets the job done. The symbol means good luck. The color red is a must, and it even includes a Feng Shui tassel. All for $18. Not bad for twelve Good Luck Paper Lanterns.
Year of the Rat Postage Stamps
Tuesday, January 29th, 2008
Okay, does this make you want to send a Lunar New Year gift or what?
If you know an stamp collector, you must get this for them! Imagine their surprise! I think these are fantastic.
For some odd reason, I’ve become a big fan of fancy stamps recently. I’m not sure why, since I rarely ever responded to past designs (you know the ones I’m thinking of… the ones of Elvis or ice figure skating or the single red rose.) (Remember those???). I recently ordered myself several sets of the Marvel Super Heroes Stamps , and I love using them. Now, I’m ordering the Year of the Rat Postage Stamps for myself, friends and family. Either I’ve become boring or the stamp designs got really good. (Do I really want to know that answer?).
This set of Lunar New Year Postage Stamps consists of twelve 41 cent stamps for $5.99.
origami kit
Monday, January 28th, 2008

I know what you’re thinking. Isn’t origami a traditional Japanese craft? Yes, it is. However, it is just as popular with other Asian cultures, especially in China. It is not uncommon to find origami as part of New Year decorations. I’ve always wanted to learn how to make origami, but I’m a bit intimidated. Besides, it will not do my OCD tendencies any good.
If you would like to give it a try or know someone who does, check out the The Origami Giftbox for $13.57 at Amazon.
fancy origami paper
Monday, January 28th, 2008
How gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous is this origami paper?!? I often use origami paper as gift wrap, but I’ve never used paper this fancy. What fabulous red envelopes one could create with this pattern. Of course, any origami made by this fancy paper would look simply amazing. $7.96
