LP to Digital Recording System
Thursday, December 20th, 2007
The turntable that will convert your LPs to digital format – Now who’s laughing at why you’ve kept all those LPs all those years, right? $77
Even the last of the LP keepers must have converted to digital by now, but still, they [we] can’t seem to depart from our favorites, the good and the bad, unfortunately. By principle, it is not right to have to pay the .99 cents to repurchase our favorite songs again – just because technology has changed. Now thanks to Audio-Technica, this turntable converter will finally solve that little issue.
Scooba Floor Washing Robot
Wednesday, December 12th, 2007
I, too, thought these robotic vacuum thingies were a gimmick. Until I got one. People! It will change your life! I was so crazy about the thing, I went and bought three more as gifts. Talk about viral growth!
Now I’m ready for an upgrade. The Scooba is what I’m after next. This little bot mops your floor! Actually, even better – it vacuums and washes your floor. The Scooba will pick up dirt and debris before it cycles to the wash phase, where it will actually brush and scrub your floor. All you have to do is fill it will cleaning solution. Push one button, and watch it climb rugs, stop itself from getting trapped in corners, turn around before it falls down the stairs. I swear. I’ve tested this over and over again, and it never failed.
My very favorite part is watching the machine automatically return to its docking station when it runs low on battery. When it begins the self-docking process, it beeps. Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep….. (Like a commercial truck backing up.) Very entertaining. $320-$420

flexible + washable keyboard
Monday, December 10th, 2007
Dustproof and washable, this Flexible Mobile Keyboard can be folded for easy travel. I may not be a hypochondriac (well, maybe a little), but I am messy. I like eating while working, which means crumbs in the keyboard. It is not pleasant. I’ve lost keys vacuuming my keyboard. Not sure if this keyboard feels well (how the key snaps to the touch is important to me), but for $20, it may be worth a try.

usb desk vacuum
Friday, December 7th, 2007
My favorite of all the silly USB gadgets and gizmos out there right now. It’s no Dyson, but this micro USB Vacuum ($20) actually works. All you have to do is plug it into your computer’s USB port. No batteries required.
To top it off, they’ve even designed it to lock upright for storage. Truly ridiculous, and I love it! What will they think of next? (I’m still chuckling.)
Unfortunately, it’s pretty much sold out everywhere. Obviously, others love it too. However, WhateverWorks claims they’ll have it back in stock by December 10.
