Mariposa Baby's Tutti Frutti Bib ($16) is one of those item that is modern and classic at the same time. New moms with either taste will love this bib just the same. That is good design.  

Baby Bunting Blanket taken to the next level - for the baby with an active lifestyle. Okay, for the parents with sporty good looks and definitely not for parents into cutesie things. This Baby Evolution Bunting is nicely designed and well made. The blanket has 100% flannel lining and is thermal filled to keep baby cozy outdoors. Machine washable (important). Extendable so it can be adjusted as baby grows. Available at Auto for $200.

Not just pretty to look at, these changing tables are highly functional as well. Ubi's Changing Tables ($89-$119) was invented because of one frustrated new mom. Sue Wong, the mom and creator, used her background in mechanical engineering to conceptualize a changing table with a built-in diaper dispenser that automatically fed a new diaper for the next change. She also incorporated a surface that had fastener strips to hold the diaper flat while changing the baby. Smart.
