You're Beautiful

flowers_orchids_bouquet_vera_wang_garnet_red.jpg

I received a note today from Sarah, who mentioned her dislike for roses AND tulips, and declared her love for orchids. I can't disagree with her passion for these flowers, as they are quite exotic and absolutely stunning. Orchids signify "delicate beauty." I wouldn't mind receiving this bouquet, with or without the flower's meaning.

From the Vera Wang collection, these gorgeous garnet Mokara orchids include the vase and are available for only $54 at FTD.

You're so Pretty...

If 'beautiful' is too bold a statement for you, try these wonderful pink Butterfly orchids instead. The pink tones down the passion and adds sweetness. This plant will also last a lot longer than cut orchids. From the Todd Oldham collection at FTD, this plant with jade green vase is $81.

I Believe in Magic...

Magical_plant_garden.jpg

One of my all-time favorite gifts, this Magical Plant Garden contains the fascinating tillandsia, which is an air plant-epiphyte, plants that can grow without soil. These tillandsia derive all their nutrition from air and water. The set includes 4 plants, stones and bowl. $79

I admire you...

One of my favorites, the mini Calla lily in its simplistic beauty stands out from the rest for its rich color and uncommon presence. This flower stands for "regal" so it is befitting as declaration of admiration. These twenty stems of passionate pink Callas are available for $60 at Martha Flowers.

Daisies stand for innocence, and pink connotates sweetness and friendship. If you don't want to send message of passion, this bouquet is a safe bet. This bouquet consisting of twenty Gerbera daisies in a vase is available from Martha Flowers for $50.
