Celebrate Across the Country!

Every year we make so many new friends who sign up on Elfster from all over the country, so we’ve compiled some lists of fantastic sounding holiday events going on in several cities this year. Today we’re starting with four major cities, and we will be adding more posts on others as the New Year approaches! Whether you’re on vacation or a native of these cities, there’s always something exciting going on so check them out if you’re in the area!

Great Dickens Christmas Fair

WHERE: San Francisco, CA (Cow Palace)
WHEN: Fri. Nov. 27 – Sun. Dec. 20, 11am-7pm
COST:~$20
WHAT: This recreation of Charles Dickens’ London Christmas has been a Bay Area tradition for 31 years! Wander the lanes of Victorian England while enjoying pine trees, twinkling lights, fresh scones, and the songs of carolers! The festival features traditional British food and entertainment for the whole family.

Disney’s Holidays Around the World

WHERE: Orlando, FL (Disney World)
WHEN: Fri. Nov. 27 — Wed. Dec. 30, 5pm/6:45pm/8:15pm
COST: ~$30-50
WHAT:During the holidays, the Epcot park is transformed into an international celebration of Yuletide traditions filled with festive decorations and live entertainment. Candlelight Processional retells the stirring story of Christmas with a special celebrity narrator accompanied by a 50-piece orchestra and a mass choir.

Radio City Christmas Spectacular

WHERE: NYC, New York (Radio Music Hall)
WHEN: Fri. Nov. 13- Sun. Jan. 3, 4-5 times each day
COST:~$45-$90
WHAT: Enjoy the flawless precision of the Radio City Rockettes® as Santa takes you on a magical ride to his workshop at the North Pole where playful ragdolls come to life. There is also a stunning reenactment of the first Christmas in the “Living Nativity”, at this classic New York celebration!

Harvard Square Holiday Fair

WHERE: Cambridge, MA (Harvard Square)
WHEN: Sat. Nov. 28 – Wed. Dec. 23, times and dates vary
COST: Free
WHAT: One of the oldest and most popular fairs in Boston, it started 23 years ago and is still expanding! The fair features a changing mix of craftspeople who bring their wonderful and affordable gifts for you to buy. Along with live performances and food, it’s a great way to get your holiday shopping done!

Santa’s Ranch

WHERE: Between Austin and San Antonio, TX (Interstate 35)
WHEN: Nov. 6 – Jan 2, Sun – Thursday 6pm to 10pm and Friday – Saturday 6pm -11pm
COST: $20 per car
WHAT: Celebrate the holidays from the comfort of your vehicle by driving through nearly a mile of spectacular holiday scenes with over 1 million lights and 100 displays and animations.
